Description:

Position Summary

The BDC Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications to support the dealership’s sales and service departments. This role focuses on responding to leads, scheduling appointments, following up with customers, and ensuring a high level of customer engagement to drive dealership traffic and sales opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound phone calls, emails, text messages, and online leads.
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on sales and service leads.
  • Schedule and confirm sales and service appointments.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the dealership CRM system.
  • Track and manage lead activity, follow-up status, and appointment outcomes.
  • Provide product and service information to customers as needed.
  • Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure smooth customer handoffs.
  • Follow up with unsold showroom customers and missed service appointments.
  • Maintain consistent communication standards and scripting guidelines.
  • Ensure timely response to all internet and phone inquiries.
  • Assist in achieving dealership appointment-setting and conversion goals.
  • Support marketing campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional phone etiquette and persuasive communication ability.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • Basic computer skills and CRM experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service, call center, sales, or dealership experience preferred.
  • Automotive dealership or BDC experience is a plus but not required.
  • On-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of computer, phone systems, and CRM software.
  • Ability to communicate clearly by phone and electronic messaging.
  • Ability to perform repetitive data entry and typing tasks.
  • Ability to work standard business hours, including some evenings or weekends if required.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in a dealership office or call center environment with frequent phone and computer use in a structured, fast-paced, performance-driven setting.
