About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our facility by performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks. This position requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and structural issues promptly to minimize downtime. The technician will be responsible for maintaining plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment, ensuring all systems function efficiently and comply with safety standards. Additionally, the role involves performing precision measurements and carpentry work to support facility upkeep and improvements. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical repair, and carpentry.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Physical ability to climb ladders and perform manual labor.
- Good hearing and verbal communication skills to understand instructions and report issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
- Experience working in a commercial or industrial maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards related to building maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
- First aid and CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems within the facility.
- Use precision measuring tools to assess and ensure the accuracy of repairs and installations.
- Install, repair, and maintain drywall, carpentry structures, and mechanical systems as needed.
- Climb ladders and access elevated areas safely to inspect and repair equipment or building components.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
