Job Description

About Monovo
What if you could practice medicine with more flexibility, more autonomy, and more opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your patients' lives?

Monovo is a virtual healthcare system dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes. We provide patient-centered care through a combination of technology, proactive support, telehealth, and hands-on service. Our goal is to give patients more personalized, accessible care while helping them feel supported beyond the traditional clinic setting.

We are looking for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. We're looking for a provider who combines strong clinical judgment with genuine curiosity—someone who listens closely, looks beyond the obvious, and wants to help patients better understand and improve their health.

You'll care for a diverse patient population, including men, women, and children, while bringing particular expertise in weight management, metabolic health, and hormone replacement therapy.

This is an opportunity for an FNP who loves patient care but is ready for a more personalized way to practice it.

About the role

The Family Nurse Practitioner will deliver personalized, patient-centered primary care entirely through virtual visits. This role is designed for a provider who wants to practice with intention—building meaningful relationships with patients, understanding their goals, and delivering thoughtful, high-quality care without the pressure of unrealistic patient volume expectations.

As an FNP at Monovo, you’ll care for patients across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults. Experience or knowledge in weight management, metabolic health, and hormone replacement therapy is especially valuable, as many of our patients are working to make meaningful lifestyle changes and improve their long-term health. Understanding how factors such as hormones, metabolism, medications, nutrition, sleep, and other health conditions can influence a patient’s progress allows our providers to offer more informed, individualized guidance and help patients identify solutions that go beyond a one-size-fits-all approach.

Rather than moving quickly from one appointment to the next, you’ll have the opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and create care plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs and goals.

We believe great care starts with giving providers the time and autonomy to practice well. This role is ideal for an FNP who values strong patient relationships, clinical independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact on the health and well-being of the people they serve.

What you'll do

  • Conduct comprehensive primary care assessments through telehealth visits, including health history, symptom review, medication review, and diagnostic follow-up when appropriate.
  • Provide primary care services to patients across all ages and life stages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic primary care conditions in a virtual care setting.
  • Develop, implement, and manage personalized care plans based on patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state licensure, prescriptive authority, and scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on preventive care, chronic disease management, medications, lifestyle modification, and overall health goals.
  • Coordinate care with patients’ primary care physicians, specialists, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
  • Manage and respond to urgent and non-urgent patient needs through virtual care channels.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Work independently while prioritizing quality, patient safety, and strong clinical judgment.
Qualifications
  • Active Family Nurse Practitioner license/certification with prescriptive authority in Utah.
  • Must be able to provide care to patients across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, or a related setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a variety of acute and chronic conditions across multiple age groups.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions within scope of practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to education and care.
  • Comfortable building meaningful relationships with patients and families through virtual care.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, telehealth platforms, and mobile health technology.
  • Ability to manage patient care in a remote/virtual setting.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Compassionate, professional, and committed to providing high-quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish or another language.
  • Experience with telehealth, virtual care, remote patient monitoring, or technology-enabled care models.
  • Experience supporting patients with chronic conditions.
  • Experience providing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Experience working autonomously in a remote care environment.
  • Strong comfort level using technology to communicate with patients and coordinate care.
  • Experience or certification in functional medicine, functional health, peptide therapy, hormone optimization, medical weight loss, or other wellness-focused treatment programs.
  • Experience managing weight loss or wellness care plans, including patient education, medication management, and ongoing follow-up.
Requirements
  • Must be a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Must be able to see patients of all ages.
