About the Role:
The Surgical Technician-Certified plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms and ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment, directly impacting patient outcomes and surgical success. The technician collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures. They are responsible for adhering to strict protocols to prevent infection and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital or surgical center environment.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and surgical instrumentation.
- Additional training in specialized surgical areas such as orthopedics or cardiovascular surgery.
Responsibilities:
