We are looking for an experienced Finance Director or Vice President of Finance to come join our team of passionate healthcare professionals as we expand our footprint across the state of Texas.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Finance is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across a multi-state post-acute care and long-term care healthcare organizations. The VP of Finance partners closely with executive and operational leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient outcomes.
This executive oversees all aspects of financial management, including payroll, accounting, financial planning and analysis, reimbursement, revenue cycle oversight, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial reporting. The Vice President of Finance plays a critical role in supporting value-based care initiatives, optimizing reimbursement, improving financial performance, and ensuring the organization's long-term financial sustainability across multiple facilities and states.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing insights that support organizational growth, operational excellence, and informed decision-making.
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission, strategic objectives, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Lead payroll, accounting, financial planning and analysis, reimbursement, revenue cycle oversight, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, internal controls, and financial reporting, and financial modeling to support organizational performance and strategic investments.
- Oversee financial due diligence and integration activities related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and expansion opportunities.
- Provide financial leadership for a multi-site network of post-acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and affiliated healthcare operations.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and adherence to GAAP, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Direct revenue cycle and reimbursement strategies to optimize cash flow, improve collections, reduce denials, and maximize reimbursement across Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial, and Private Pay payers.
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support value-based care initiatives, alternative payment models, and quality-driven financial performance.
- Analyze financial performance, service line profitability, labor productivity, payer mix, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for operational improvement and revenue growth.
- Oversee accounting, treasury, cash management, and external audits while ensuring sound financial stewardship and enterprise risk management.
- Collaborate with executive and operational leadership to align financial strategies with organizational priorities and drive continuous improvement across the enterprise.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization by fostering accountability, innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Services, Human Resources, Compliance, Information Technology, and Revenue Cycle leadership to improve financial and operational performance.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred).
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) (preferred).
- Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare.
- Minimum of 5 years serving in a senior finance leadership role within post-acute care, long-term care, rehabilitation, LTACH, or skilled nursing environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading finance operations for a multi-state healthcare organization.
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Managed Care, and value-based reimbursement models.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, organizational growth, and financial integration initiatives preferred.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership, private equity sponsors, or governing boards preferred.

Work Environment
This position supports a dynamic, multi-site healthcare organization operating post-acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation services. Periodic travel to regional facilities and corporate offices is required.
