The Paid Media Coordinator is a core support and execution-focused role within the Media team. The primary function is to assist the daily operational, tactical, and administrative requirements of media campaigns across content creators, endemic media, self-serve, auction-based platforms (primarily Google, and paid social). This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate setup, proper pacing, consistent monitoring, and quality assurance of campaign delivery, providing critical support to Senior Planners and Supervisors. This position is a three month contract with an opportunity to be transitioned to a full time role.

Core Functions and Responsibilities:

The duties of this position are divided into four primary functional areas:

1. Campaign Setup and Stewardship (40%)

This function ensures the technical accuracy and continuous delivery of all live campaigns, as well as necessary administrative documentation.

  • Setup & QA: Execute the complete technical setup of campaigns, including the accurate configuration of pixels, UTM tracking, creative uploads, ad creation, and trafficking for both Google, endemic media and paid social platforms.
  • Tracking Management: Generate, compile, and QA all necessary UTM tracking links required for approved media plans.
  • Pacing & Delivery: Conduct mandatory weekly (or as needed) checks on campaign pacing and delivery. Identify and proactively flag any under/over-delivery risks or budget discrepancies to the Supervisor/Planner.
  • Operational Coordination: Liaise with Planners to maintain an updated tracking log of all pending materials (creative assets, ad copy, landing page URLs, client approval) required for campaign launch or maintenance.
  • Financial & Project System Support: Assist the team with updating and maintaining internal financial tracking and project management systems to ensure accurate record-keeping of budgets, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Billing Support: Assist the Media Planners/Director with monthly account reconciliation processes for media spend and documentation.
  • Data Contribution: Gather and organize campaign performance data points to contribute to both internal performance reviews and external client reporting decks.
2. Paid Social Execution Support (30%)

This function supports the implementation and maintenance of biddable social campaigns.

  • Campaign Execution: Implement and manage campaign settings and biddable formats across platforms (Meta, X, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit) to align with client goals (e.g., engagement, acquisition, awareness) as directed by the supervising Planner.
  • Audience Research: Conduct and compile initial research on targeting parameters, audience segments, and competitor activity to support strategic planning phases.
  • Optimization Support: Under supervision, perform routine campaign optimizations, including minor bid adjustments, budget shifts, and testing of new ad copy/creative within active campaigns.
3. Influencer Execution Support (30%)

This function supports the implementation and maintenance of influencer campaigns.

  • Identification & Outreach: Assist in identifying, vetting, and coordinating outreach to relevant influencers and content creators based on audience demographics, brand alignment, and campaign goals.
  • Continued Communications: Manage day-to-day communication with influencers and creator partners, including deliverable requirements, contracts, content timelines, posting schedules, tracking links, and campaign expectations.
  • Performance Review: Monitor influencer campaign performance metrics, including reach, impressions, engagement, clicks, and conversions, flagging any significant deviations from campaign goals.
4. Media Technology & Growth
  • MarTech Stack: Maintain working knowledge of the internal technology stack required for campaign execution, including budget management systems, data visualization tools, and ad verification platforms.
  • Measurement & Tagging: Support the team by executing and validating third-party tracking implementation, including Google Campaign Manager 360 (GCM) tagging and reporting functionality.
  • Professional Development: Proactively pursue necessary platform certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint) and attend internal training sessions to ensure skills remain current with rapidly evolving media technologies.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in internal meetings to share observations on operational efficiencies and contribute to the refinement of campaign setup and QA protocols.
Requirements: Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience: Entry-level or 1-2 years of professional experience in communications, digital media execution, operations, or a similar role.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Advertising or Marketing Communications related field.
  • Platform Proficiency: Foundational working knowledge of key digital platforms, including Google Ads (Search/YouTube) and self-serve social platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, etc.) is a plus.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Worksheets for data organization and manipulation.
  • Systems Familiarity: Experience or familiarity with utilizing financial or project management software for data input and tracking is a plus.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Detail Orientation: Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and precision in all setup, tracking, and data entry tasks.
    • Work Management: Strong organizational ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize requests efficiently.
    • Communication: Effective written and verbal skills for clear internal team and cross-functional communication.
  • Problem Solver: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational and technical issues (e.g., pacing, tracking discrepancies) independently or by escalating appropriately.
