Shift Lead – Jersey Mike’s Subs

We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Shift Lead to join our Jersey Mike’s team. The Shift Lead supports the General Manager and Assistant Manager by helping supervise daily restaurant operations, leading team members, and ensuring every customer receives fast, friendly service and a high-quality meal.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate team members during assigned shifts.

Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve concerns professionally.

Ensure subs are prepared according to Jersey Mike’s recipes and quality standards.

Assign workstations and maintain proper staffing throughout the shift.

Coach team members on service, food preparation, cleanliness, and safety procedures.

Complete opening and closing procedures accurately.

Operate the register and follow all cash-handling and deposit procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked restaurant.

Monitor food quality, portion control, product rotation, and waste.

Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements.

Assist with inventory counts, deliveries, and stocking.

Communicate staffing, maintenance, customer-service, and operational concerns to management.

Help create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience preferred.

Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Dependable, punctual, and able to lead by example.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Must meet all age and legal requirements for operating restaurant equipment.
