Helpdesk System Administrator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Helpdesk System Administrator based in United Kingdom.

This hands-on IT Operations position offers the opportunity to build strong system administration skills while supporting a fully remote organization with a diverse technology ecosystem. You will manage hardware, user access, security practices, and internal tools while working closely with employees across different regions. Accountabilities
  • Manage the complete corporate hardware lifecycle, including procurement, device configuration, inventory management, and international equipment shipping.
  • Configure and maintain company devices, including macOS environments through Apple Business Manager and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes by managing accounts, permissions, access rights, and equipment allocation.
  • Provide day-to-day helpdesk support to employees, troubleshooting technical issues and assisting users in English and Ukrainian.
  • Manage access, subscriptions, renewals, invoices, and administration for a wide range of business applications and digital tools.
  • Perform access reviews and support basic security initiatives, including access control improvements, phishing prevention, and employee awareness activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, update internal knowledge bases, and continuously improve IT processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth technology operations across the organization.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk, system administration, internships, or a related technical field.
  • Strong familiarity with macOS and interest in the Apple ecosystem, with the motivation to further develop advanced skills.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including OSI model concepts, protocols, troubleshooting methods, and common security considerations.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues systematically and provide clear solutions to users.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities.
  • English proficiency at a B1–B2 level, with confidence communicating with international users and suppliers.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with MDM solutions, Apple Business Manager, ticketing platforms, or IT service management tools is a plus.
  • Basic automation knowledge with tools such as Zapier, Make, JavaScript, or Bash is considered an advantage.
