Job Summary
Support the engineering team to maintain, debug, and repair high-volume Automated Test Equipment (ATE), handlers, and loadboard hardware in a low-to-medium volume final test facility. Responsible for line-side technical support, ensuring tool uptime, troubleshooting ATE hardware/DUT board interfaces, and performing scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) to support zero-defect automotive and industrial product shipments. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Machinery Operation: Set up and run production machinery (ATE test handler loading).
- Device Testing & Handler Support: Load device trays/tubes into automated test handlers. Monitor jam rates, perform basic contactor cleaning, and clear mechanical jams to maintain high machine throughput (UPH).
- Visual & Mechanical Inspection: Inspect die surfaces, bond wires, and package leads under optical microscopes for cracks, chip-outs, or solder bridging.
- Lot Inventory & Yield Tracking: Record pass/fail yields, scrap counts, and test execution data in MES/ERP tracking software. Flag low-yield lots to quality and product engineers.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree is a plus.
Experience: 4–6 years in automated electronics or semiconductor back-end manufacturing.
Software/Systems: Working knowledge of MES software, inventory tracking (ERP/SAP), and basic MS Excel for production logs.
Equipment Knowledge: Pick-and-place handlers, tape-and-reel sealers, label printers, vacuum sealers.
Desired Characteristics & Attributes:
- Direct experience on major ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest V93000, Teradyne J750/UltraFLEX) and industry-standard handlers/probers (e.g., TEL, Hon precision, Cohu).
- Highly organized with strong attention to details
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate production records.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and shift handoff skills.
- Dependable and accountable for meeting production objectives.
Compensation Range:
At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent.
The annual base salary range for this role is $23.50 – $31.04. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
