Assembly (Mechanical) in Tempe, Arizona at Foresight Technologies

The Assembly Technician (Mechanical) is responsible for assembling mechanical components, equipment, and systems according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This position works with a variety of materials, including plastic and other components, to support the manufacturing and assembly of company products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other equipment safely and properly.
• Install, align, fit, and secure mechanical components and hardware.
• Perform basic adjustments and functional checks to ensure proper assembly.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and production requirements.
• Identify and report damaged materials, incorrect components, assembly issues, or quality concerns.
• Follow established production processes and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments as needed.
• Meet established production schedules and performance expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical components.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic engineering drawings.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools preferred.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, and calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet production schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in various positions.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to [50 pounds], with or without reasonable accommodation.
