Charge Entry Specialist- Pediatrics in Raleigh, North Carolina at JMA Pediatrics - Jeffers, Mann & Artman

JMA Pediatrics is currently hiring for a full-time, on-site Charge Entry Specialist to join our Pediatrics Billing team! The Charge Entry Specialist will support seven pediatric locations and will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate charge entry across multiple locations. The ideal candidate has experience working in a medical billing or physician practice environment, a strong understanding of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding, and a high level of attention to detail. Pediatric healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
*1–3+ years of experience in medical billing, charge entry, coding, or healthcare billing
*Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding
*Familiarity with pediatric preventive visits, sick visits, immunizations, and related services
*Strong computer skills and ability to learn practice management systems quickly
*Medical billing/coding certification or related education is a plus
*Experience with Veradigm PM (formerly Allscripts) is a plus

*Highly accurate and detail-oriented
*Able to identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent charge information
*Understands how accurate charge entry impacts claims and reimbursement
*Able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment without sacrificing accuracy
*Takes ownership of work and follows issues through to resolution
*Communicates effectively with clinical and billing staff

Education & Experience
*High school diploma or equivalent required.
*Medical billing, coding, health information management, or related education preferred
*Relevant healthcare revenue cycle experience may be considered in place of formal education
*CPC, CCA, CCS, or other coding/billing certification is a plus but not required
