Electrical Cable Assembly Technician Position Details:

• Schedule: First shift, generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule may be adjusted based on operational needs and seasonal conditions, and overtime may be required.

Electrical Cable Assembly Technician Summary: Resolux Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined Electrical Cable Assembly Technician to build, terminate, test, inspect, and package small-, medium-, and large-gauge electrical cable assemblies. This hands-on production role requires consistent attendance, attention to quality, and the ability to work safely as part of a coordinated production team. Previous electrical or cable assembly experience is helpful but not required. Resolux will train candidates who demonstrate mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established work instructions and quality standards. A qualified candidate will be able to perform the following tasks:

• Load cable reels into payoff equipment and safely operate assigned cable-handling systems.

• Set up and operate heavy-duty cable coiling equipment.

• Measure, record, coil, and cut cable to customer-specified lengths using approved equipment and measurement devices.

• Strip cable jackets and conductor insulation to specified dimensions using manual and powered tools.

• Apply conductor identification and phase tape in accordance with drawings and work instructions.

• Prepare conductors and grounding conductors for termination.

• Assemble and install industrial power connectors, plugs, receptacles, junctions, and related components.

• Terminate conductors and grounding conductors according to electrical diagrams, work instructions, and assembly specifications.

• Verify conductor placement, torque values, termination quality, and the mechanical condition of completed assemblies.

• Conduct continuity testing and, when required, insulation resistance (Megger) and dielectric withstand (HiPot) testing.

• Verify electrical integrity and compliance with customer specifications; record test results and maintain required quality documentation.

• Identify and report nonconforming materials or assemblies.

• Coil, secure, label, and package completed assemblies for shipment.

• Move cable reels and finished goods using approved material-handling equipment and team-lift practices when appropriate.

• Maintain organized workstations and production areas.

• Follow all safety procedures related to cable handling, electrical testing, tools, equipment, and manufacturing operations.

• Complete assigned production steps and learn additional stations across the cable assembly process.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations.

Electrical Cable Assembly Technician Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The Electrical Cable Assembly Technician must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to safely perform hands-on manufacturing and assembly work.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools.

• Ability to read a tape measure, accurately record measurements, and follow written work instructions and manufacturing drawings.

• Ability to learn assigned assembly steps through hands-on training and progressively learn the full production process.

• Strong attention to detail, product quality, and workplace safety.

• Dependable attendance and the ability to report to work at the scheduled start time. Because work moves through coordinated production stations, employees must generally begin work and take breaks with the team.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a coordinated production team.

• Previous experience in cable assembly, electrical assembly, manufacturing, wire harness assembly, industrial equipment, construction trades, automotive or agricultural equipment, industrial maintenance, or a related hands-on field is preferred.

• Experience terminating power connectors or other electrical components is preferred.

• Familiarity with continuity, Megger, or HiPot testing is preferred.

• Experience operating coilers, payoff systems, cable cutters, forklifts, or other cable-processing or material-handling equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, grip, and perform repetitive hands-on assembly work throughout the shift.

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to approximately 75 pounds with assistance or a team lift, as appropriate.

• Ability to work with large cable assemblies in a warehouse and manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary by season.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and safely work around production and electrical testing equipment.
