We’re looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our Community Habilitation program. As a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work one-on-one with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities, providing support at home and in the community to help them build independence and life skills. This is a flexible, fun, and rewarding role where you can make a direct impact.

Cases are in Highland and New Paltz. This is a per diem position.

What you will be doing:

Teaching new tasksAssisting in the creation and achievement of life goalsPlanning activities within the community Working independently while collaborating with other team members EXPERIENCE:

Working with Individuals that have IDD preferred but not required EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED is required; an associate degree is preferred. No experience required; one year of related experience is preferred. Working as caregivers or with adults with developmental disabilities.

Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for the individualsHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsBe energetic, creative, and have a sense of humorBe able to attend mandatory trainings as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearancesUSE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE -Mileage reimbursement available
