  • You will supervise and support Accounts Payable staff, helping to prioritize workflow, maintain accuracy, and ensure strong customer service across departments.
  • You will maintain financial controls related to vendor payments, agency disbursements, bank accounts, and loan accounts while ensuring required approvals and documentation are completed appropriately.
  • You will serve as a financial resource to departments throughout the agency, helping resolve payment issues and improve accounting processes.
  • You will maintain and update fiscal procedures, general ledger allocations, and accounting practices related to disbursement activities.
  • You will contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and preparation of supporting schedules and workpapers.
  • You will assist with annual audits, cost reports, IRS reporting requirements, 1099 preparation, and other financial compliance activities.
  • You will conduct internal audits and compliance monitoring activities while helping ensure adherence to financial controls and agency policies.
  • You will collaborate with fellow Senior Accountants to support audits, special projects, reporting requirements, and fiscal initiatives across the organization.
  • You will help ensure that Anderson's financial resources are managed responsibly, accurately, and in support of the agency's mission.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
  • Alignment with Anderson's mission, values, and Quality of Life philosophy.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Three to five years of related accounting experience required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of leadership and accounting experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable, financial reporting, audits, and reconciliations preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.

In Addition, We Expect That You
  • Complete all required agency training.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, accounting standards, and financial controls.
  • Support audit activities, regulatory reporting, and fiscal compliance requirements.
