Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading the Pre-Construction and Estimating function, ensuring accurate, timely, and competitive bid packages. This role provides hands-on guidance to Estimating team members, oversees the development of all bid submissions, and reviews and approves final estimates prior to client delivery. It sets the standard for quality, discipline, and accountability within the pre-construction process.
• Lead and manage all pre ? construction estimating activities for commercial projects valued up to fifteen million dollars, overseeing team ? assigned bids and developing detailed, complex estimates.
• Establish and maintain standardized pre ? construction processes, ensuring disciplined estimating practices while preserving accurate historical cost data and scope templates.
• Build and strengthen relationships with clients and subcontractors through site visits, client meetings, broad subcontractor outreach, and thorough bid qualification. Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating team by assigning projects, collaborating closely to develop complete scopes of work, and ensuring accurate, well ? supported proposals.
• Review, approve, and finalize all estimates, identify potential risks and opportunities, prepare final bid submissions, and ensure a smooth and effective handoff to Project Management upon contract award.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years in commercial construction, with advanced knowledge of commercial building practices.
• Proven experience leading a pre-construction or estimating team, with a strong record of delivering accurate, competitive results.
• Expert-level ability with electronic plan-reading and takeoff software, along with solid competency in reviewing drawings, specs, and bid documentation.
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation preferred.
