Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Reports To: Director of Quality Control Functional Job Duties:
- Current American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Experience working with one or more of the following Standards. American Welding Society (AWS) codes D1.1, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Corp of Engineers codes Section VIII, B31.3, B31.1, STS-1 and V.
- Experience with dimensional inspection.
- Experience conducting and witnessing welding procedure qualification and welder qualifications.
- Experience conducting coating inspection to SSPC, NACE & ISO specifications.
- Magnetic Particle Testing / Yoke method
- Dye Penetrant Testing
- Radiographic film interpretation
- Ultrasonic Testing (optional)
- PMI Testing (optional)
- Ability to work independently to established procedures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- 5 year minimal experience in Quality Control.
- Offer contingent upon successful completion of background and drug screening.
- Active participant in continuous improvement efforts that further the company values, consistency and efficiency of people and process within the Division.
- Knowledge of material specifications (ASTM & ASME), is preferred
- Knowledge of welding specifications (AWS & ASME), is preferred
- Knowledge of destructive and nondestructive examinations is preferred.
- Knowledge of coating inspections, is preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience in a fabrication environment, preferably job-shop or general contract companies.
- Physical demands of position will require the ability to maneuver in a shop or yard assembly environment.
- Extensive walking and standing, climbing on ladders, scaffolding, crouching, twisting, and stooping are often encountered.
- Must be able to assist with the manipulation of tooling and equipment.
