Job Description
Position Summary:
The Community Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, appropriate,
timely and cost-efficient medication therapy for patients. This includes but is not
limited to proper and safe distribution medications, rational drug selection,
monitoring administration and responsibility for the patient’s overall drug therapy.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and a certificate of practice from
the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
B. Job Knowledge:
Keep current with latest developments in community pharmacy through
professional organization. Know good management techniques including
hospital and department policies and procedures.
VI. Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. The following physical activities are spent during a major portion of the day
and it is a must that a person is in physical condition in order to accomplish
