Telemetry Tech in Aurora, Illinois at Rush Copley Medical Center

Position Summary: The Telemetry Technician performs a variety of technical tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The duties include continuously observing real-time electrocardiogram (EKG/ECG) readouts for multiple patients simultaneously. The telemetry technician measures and records data, alerts nursing regarding changes in condition.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Associate’s Degree/Clinical Certification preferred or comparable central telemetry experience.

Certifications:

• CPR Required
• CNA certification preferred
• Telemetry exam and competency in EKG interpretation must be successfully demonstrated.

Experience:

• Previous experience preferred
