About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Enough is Enough Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, facilitating and presenting education programs, prevention efforts and training on all aspects of sexual assault prevention and relationship violence. This positon also provides crisis intervention, advocacy and referrals in response to the needs of victim and survivors of sexual assault on college campuses in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
A. Deliver a comprehensive student onboarding and ongoing education campaign to educate members of local colleges about domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault.
B. Provide consultation and training, designed to meet community needs, for professionals, individuals, and groups.
C. Assist the Director of Sexual Assault Services in the development and execution of the EIE workplan.
D. Responsible for the facilitation and execution of the campus sexual violence response coalition.
E. Provide immediate crisis counseling to disclosures of sexual violence.
F. Maintain a presence at health and human service, college fairs, and other outreach tabling events, etc.
G. Provide education to all new first-year and transfer students on a range of relevant topics, using two evidence-based curricula.
H. Provide education to student-athletes on domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault.
I. Respond to hotline calls and participate in on-call rotations, including evenings and weekends.
Requirements:REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and data with
accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, confidentiality, and sense of humor.
B. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability work cooperatively with internal and external customers.
C. Excellent Microsoft Word, database, and Excel skills.
D. Commitment to PPNCNY core values of teamwork, compassion, confidentiality and quality care.
E. Demonstrated cultural competence and proven effectiveness in serving the needs of diverse student populations.
F. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
G. Willingness and ability to travel locally.
H. Acceptance and understanding of PPNCNY Personnel Policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
B. Good oral and written communication skills.
C. Demonstrated understanding of non-directive crisis counseling techniques.
D. Additional training in the areas of Contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infections including HIV, Child Abuse Identification, and other areas of need.
E. Possess valid driver’s license.
