About This Position
Mid-Shift Coordinator Job Summary: As a mid-shift coordinator, you will oversee and manage daily warehouse activities including but not limited to shipping, receiving, and repacking. The ideal candidate will ensure that all staff is on task and working safely, while making sure that we remain and fun and enjoyable place to work. The mid-shift coordinator reports directly to Operations Manager.Schedule: Monday through Friday 11:00 AM- 7:30 PM with occasional weekend hoursEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensuring that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by managing, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and achieving operational goalsCelebrating when operational goals are metManage daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, floor productivity, and shipping proceduresTrain and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals, providing constructive feedback and positive reinforcementEnsuring a well-coordinated reception of all products between both shifts (AM/PM) and making sure they are correctly sorted, labelled, and stored per FIFO standardsMaintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulationsEnforce company policies and manage personnel matters
Other duties include but are not limited to…Manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtimeMeet regularly with warehouse leads AM and PM to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans to reduce picking, shipping and receiving errorsOversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of packages.Ensuring delivery deadlines and quality objectives are metExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong leadership and decision-making skills, motivation and goal-setting abilities Strong problem-solving skills Exceptional organization and time management abilities Conflict resolution skills Customer service skills Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively between both shiftsUnderstanding of relevant health and safety regulations Bilingual preferred Basic math skillsOther duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferredGood Communication, organizational skills, time management and mathematical skillsBilingual Preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and OutlookDependable and reliableCustomer Service skillsPhysical Demands and Abilities:Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRegularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlOccasionally required to sit and climb or balanceSafely operate electric pallet jacks and possibly a reach machine, and to push or pull a hand truckSpecific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focusSpecific hearing abilities required for this job include adequate hearing over a loud work environment in which several pieces of machinery are frequently running including pallet jacks, large shipping vehicles, motors, engines, etc.Frequently required to enter and exit large refrigerated coolers, as well as work in warehouse open to outdoor temperatures during shipping and/or receiving. Must be able to tolerate working in temperatures ranging from 25 degrees up to 100 degrees; work environment may be cool and wetAbility to multitask, reprioritize, and to make quick decisions and follow commands of supervising staffMeet attendance standardsCarbonella & DeSarbo, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
