We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual to install, repair, rebuild and maintain production equipment and general building services. This role will also perform Wire Rope Splicing duties and work in the shipping department as needed.

This position reports to the Plant Manager and will work Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm in our North Las Vegas, NV plant which is located at 2629 E Craig Rd, Suite L , North Las Vegas, NV 89030. Occasional Saturday work may be required.

Job Description

Position Title: Machine Technician & Wire Rope Splicer Department: Las Vegas Manufacturing

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Effective Date: April 2026

Reports to: Plant Manager

Position Summary: Perform all duties necessary to install, repair, rebuild and maintain production equipment, building and services. Also produces all varieties of wire rope assemblies according to established company methods, quality standards and production requirements. Also

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to demonstrate understanding of company documents such as safety rules, work instructions, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

  1. Adheres to company policies that create and maintain a safe workplace and follow departments housekeeping requirements.
  2. Understand and perform the Preventative Maintenance Program. Identify and report any maintenance issues on machines and equipment.
  3. Diagnose problems of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic nature on all types of production equipment.
  4. Tear down, repair or replace defective parts and reassemble equipment to working conditions.
  5. Detect and report any improper operation, faulty equipment, defective material, or unusual conditions, which may affect plant safety, efficiency or security. Identify and report any equipment, operational or safety problems or material deficiencies.
  6. Work in the department as a team member to produce wire rope assemblies by manufacturing specifications to achieve or exceed the production, quality standards and goals. Accesses inventory information on computer using manufacturing software programs to issue materials, print and assign work orders and direct job assignments.
  7. Set up, adjust and operate machines and equipment.
  8. Understand and follow established best practices, department priorities and customer requirements. Read, understand and follow the JHA’s pertaining to the department.
  9. Read, interpret and understand production sheets, manufacturing manual and corresponding reports and documents.
  10. Select appropriate raw materials, hardware, tools, tags and equipment necessary to produce rope slings.
  11. Identify and report any equipment, operational or safety problems or material deficiencies.
  12. Move and handle materials as necessary.
  13. Understand and follow the company inventory system.
  14. Complete all necessary reports and forms.
  15. Assist in production areas of the plant as required.

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

20 Pack product as required. Construct, alter, and improvise available equipment for special requirements.

21 Construct or specify parts, mechanisms, devices, or apparatus as necessary.

22 Provide instruction, training, and guidance to employees and outside contractors, within the plant.

23 Through phone consultations or in person, assists in new equipment installation, equipment repairs and/or training for other plant locations.

24 Performs other similar or associated duties as required
