Join Lake Ridge Banks as Loan Production Specialist!

As a Loan Production Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in delivering an exceptional lending experience for our Commercial and Ag customers. You’ll be the trusted connector between our clients and lending teams, guiding loans from application through closing with accuracy, care, and confidence. By expertly managing documentation, contingencies, and complex transactions, you’ll ensure every loan closes smoothly, on time, and in alignment with regulatory requirements and bank policies. The home office is flexible based out one of our Lake Ridge Bank communities.

  • Provide support to Loan Production Associates on all loan production duties.
  • Train new and existing Loan Production department staff.
  • Manage lender’s loan renewals and new loan requests & complete due diligence to prepare for underwriting and approval.
  • Re-verify that credit request has up-to-date information to determine proper loan documents required for the loan closing based on the approval and loan product.
  • Verify all supporting documentation to verify owners & authorized signers, accurate addresses, collateral descriptions and proper insurance.
  • Work with Lender for collection of any outstanding loan approval contingencies.
  • Verify and accurately input codes including but not limited to product code, class code, purpose code, part 365 code, aggregate debt, new money, collateral codes, LTV and appraised value.
  • Review final appraisal or real estate valuation. Properly validate notices are provided to clients when applicable. Adjust documentation in file for updated values.
  • Coordinate and schedule closings with Lender and other members of the team as appropriate.
  • Work with third party individuals as needed such as insurance agents, title companies and financials to obtain payoffs, when applicable.
  • Prepare commercial and ag loan closing documents, utilizing Laser Pro and any ancillary systems required to retrieve documents.
  • Draft loan documents for complicated transactions including but not limited to Construction, TIF, SWAP, PACE, SBA, and Participations.
  • Validate that all compliance requirements are met and accurate, including but not limited to CIP, CRA, HMDA, Beneficial Ownership and Reg. B.
  • Perform peer reviews of loan document packages prior to loan closings to identify corrections needed.
  • Process Adverse Action for loan requests that are denied, withdrawn, closed for incompleteness or approved but not accepted timely and accurately following loan regulations.
  • Properly process and document collateral and/or guarantor change requests.

Adhere to all Bank Security/Compliance Regulations

  • Complete all annual bank security and compliance training
  • Adhere to Bank Security/compliance and policy guidelines for commercial loan area.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
  • Stay current on all compliance regulations required through training and education.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist team members with problems solving and issues during the production and documentation process.
  • Build trust and rapport with lenders, credit and closing by being a direct contact for them.
  • Keep lines of communication open by acting as a liaison between customers, commercial/ag bankers, underwriters and other bank personnel.
  • Participate in bank and department meetings.
  • Represent the bank in professional and community activities.
  • Actively participate in training programs to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Partner effectively across all levels of the organization and develop positive working relationships.
  • Continually develop knowledge, skills, and abilities through internal and external training programs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar field of education and/or minimum 5 years previous work experience in lending, loan processing, loan closing, underwriting, banking or similar work experience.
  • Previous experience working with high profile clients and/or direct customer service experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) in order to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates
  • Good accounting/math skills with the ability to work precisely with numbers and financial calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow up skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to provide ownership over own work in order to get the job done.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential customer information.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years previous commercial loan processing/underwriting experience.
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Agricultural documentation.
