Position Overview
The Warehouse Attendant supports Materials Management at the cement plant by receiving, tagging, issuing, and tracking inventory for tools, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accuracy between ERP and physical inventory, supports safe handling of materials, and maintains a clean, organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Attendant interacts regularly with vendors and employees and ensures all deliveries are properly received, documented, and stocked.
What You'll Do
- Receive and issue parts, ensuring inventory is stored in correct bin locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system aligned with physical inventory.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Load, unload, prepare, and stage materials and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and mobile assets are stored in assigned locations.
- Secure storage locations and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.
- Operate vehicles safely for occasional deliveries or pickups as required.
- Maintain work areas and equipment in a safe and clean condition.

Required Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer skills with the ability to use an ERP system.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and delivery personnel.
- Understanding of safe work practices and warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift operation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with cement plant tools, equipment, or parts preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to MSHA and company safety policies.
