About This Position
Description:
Picks, packs, and palletizes sales orders, processes them through the computer systems, maintains accurate inventory control, meets all safety, quality/compliance and productivity objectives, and maintains a clean operating area by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pulls sales orders to ensure customer service parameters will be met. Packs smaller orders into over packs for parcel shipments to customers. Palletizes larger orders for TL (less than trailer load) shipments to customers. Technicians also scan various barcodes to satisfy Track and Trace requirements as mandated by FDA/DSCSA guidelines.
- Technicians can also assist in contacting various carriers for shipment pickups.
- Verifies counts and lot numbers for each and every sales order. Performs data entry, or bar coding for all sales orders and warehouse product movement. Contacts carriers on a daily basis to schedule sales order pickup appointments.
- Utilizes various materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, forklifts, and automated guided vehicle on an as needed basis to accomplish Distribution objectives.
- Maintains inventory accuracy at product, lot, location, and warehouse levels. Maintains maintenance logs on materials handling equipment.
- Performs and reconciles daily ending inventory audits. Complies with all applicable SOP’s.
- Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping and dusting to maintain a clean working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Ability to identify and eliminate delays to ensure continuous product flow.
- Ability to work well with others, follow instructions.
- Ability to perform and document preventive maintenance. Mechanical aptitude.
