Physical Therapist in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

Works in accordance with the practice act for New York State, which includes the evaluation and treatment or the prevention of disability, injury and disease. Responsible for planning, supervising, carrying out physical therapy treatment programs. Actively participates in and supports department quality assurance programs, education and customer service programs. Performs, instructs staff, patients and others in safe mechanics and transfers. Works as part of the health care team across department lines and supervises physical therapists assistants, aides and other staff and performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Current New York State Physical Therapy license and demonstrates a clear understanding of the practice act for N.Y. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Demonstrates clear written and oral communications skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with other health care professionals, patients and caregivers. Has an understanding of Medicare/Medicaid rule regarding outpatient services for physical therapy. Hourly Rate Range $44.24 - $58.24/hour Based on verified education and experience
