Job Summary
- The LPN will be an Illinois licensed LPN who provides a full range of nursing services within the framework of established professional standards. LPN works collaboratively with support staff and under the medical direction of the physician.

Job Specifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A graduate from a School of Licensed Practical Nursing and currently licensed in the state of Illinois as a LPN. Required to have a current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have knowledge of the following: current clinical practices commonly implemented by the family practice nurse; medical terminology; Service Organization and office policies and procedures; all technical equipment used; use of personal protective equipment in compliance with DCD and OSHA guidelines; rules and regulations concerning child abuse reporting and guardianship. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required from the employee. -
ABILITIES, INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS- Must have the ability to express thoughts in clear and concise terms, both verbal and written.
- Must have the ability to adapt and prioritize during high volume periods.
- Must have the ability and dexterity to operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Must be interested in self-motivation and self-improvement.
- Must be interested in all aspects of providing primary care and / or surgical services.
- Must be interested in clinical and financial aspects of performance in a medical office setting.
- Must be able to use tact, courtesy, and diplomacy when dealing with employees, supervisors, doctors, patients, insurance companies, and the general public.
- Must have the ability to work with a variety of patients of all populations (e.g. developmentally appropriate care, cultural diversity, patients with pain, victims of abuse or neglect, and diagnosis or procedure specific such as patient with congestive heart failure or cesarean delivery).
