POSITION PURPOSE
-
Under the supervision of a Radiologist, appropriately explains exam and position patients to capture quality diagnostic images. Administer intravenous/oral contrast administration in accordance with department policies and procedures. Effectively communicates with patients of all ages as well as continuously demonstrate compassion and patience. Assists with providing technical coverage 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week. Responsible for the coordination of the department’s daily workflow. Assists with management tasks including (not limited to) payroll, budget, charges, database recording and reporting, quality assurance (QA) equipment purchase/maintenance/repair, inventory and supply ordering. Assists in the development and review of policy and procedures. Assists in employee recruitment, retention, counseling, education/training, and correction. Assures department complies with licensing and certification requirements. Fosters departmental teamwork and positive working relationships with employees and physicians. Supports leadership, department, and System policies and procedures. Must meet Department specific essential job duties.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Associate Degree: Graduate of an accredited certification program in Radiologic Technology

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 3 to 5 years

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Licensed Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) – RT certified.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) - CT certified.
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Minimum of 3 years as a CT Technologist with progressive responsibilities in supervision.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language fluently.
