Job Description

Description:

The dogs in your care are trusted by people who chose us because of our reputation. That's the weight of this role.

You're not just cleaning kennels. You're keeping up the foundation that makes a performance guarantee possible for some of the most valuable hunting, obedience, and protection dogs in Texas. Dog Lab Texas is not a typical boarding facility. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job right, works without being watched, and knows the dogs in their care belong to people who trust us completely.

What you'll own

• Daily feeding to schedule and diet instructions, and fresh water at all times

• Kennels, runs, and common areas cleaned and sanitized to protocol, with no shortcuts

• Watching every dog for changes in behavior, appetite, energy, or health, and reporting early warning signs right away

• Safe handling and movement of dogs, with full control to prevent escapes or escalation

• Helping Trainers and the Kennel Manager, and helping with medications under supervision

• Clean, organized, well-kept tools, equipment, and work areas

What we offer you

• Work that matters: real animals, real stakes, and real professional standards

• Structured onboarding that teaches you to do the job right

• A team where everyone is held to the same bar, including the people above you

• A look into the training world, with a path to bigger responsibilities for high performers

• A culture rooted in the Texas outdoor and hunting world. This is our community, not just our business.

Requirements:

Requirements

  • Weekend availability is required, and Sunday availability is our biggest need.
  • Flexibility to work weekday morning shifts and evening shifts when needed
  • The physical stamina to stay on your feet, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle dogs of every size and temperament
  • Reliable transportation to our Spring, TX property
  • A plus: previous kennel, veterinary, boarding, daycare, or hands-on animal experience. If you don’t have it but you’re reliable, detail-oriented and willing to learn, we’ll train you.

Working Conditions & Requirements

Physically intensive role involving cleaning, lifting, bending, and handling animals in indoor and outdoor environments.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Must have sufficient mobility to visit property sites that may feature rough terrain and to work outdoors in unfavorable weather conditions. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time with ability to reach, bend and move up/down on steps. Must be able to lift up to 50-pounds. The position requires considerable concentration, creativity and ability to manage time effectively. The position is subject to stress caused by a changing public environment, mandatory deadlines and heavy workload. Requires the ability to ask questions that will bring forth the information needed to make sound decisions.
