About This Position
Job Summary:
The Program Director is directly accountable to the Director of Home Care. Responsible for the overall management of the Telehealth Program, telehealth team members, Registered Dietician, WOCN, and Social Worker. Is responsible for assisting in the management of staff in all offices related to the development of educational activities in the Home Care Department. Responsible for OASIS exports/imports and investigating any rejected files or transmission issues. Coordinates with staff and managers on workqueues related to clinical and account issues. Responsible as the department lead for the EMR. Maintains communication with patient billing department and arranges meetings between EMR, home care dept., and patient billing to solve problems and to ensure billing is able to send accurate claims. Responsible for all educational activities related to the EMR. Responsible for orientation and competencies for new Home Care hire/transfer employees in all matters related to the EMR. Coordinates annual skills competency for all disciplines in compliance with existing regulations. Will manage department projects which include but are not limited to: Responsible for quality check on INR units and other point of care equipment. Must be able to work independently, under minimal supervision. Perform other job duties as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrates ability to organize, collect, retrieve, store report data through software systems for ongoing performance improvement.
- Ability to utilize excel reports and download reports from EMR.
- Ability to educate nursing staff on high tech equipment procedures including caring for patients using wound VAC and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Demonstrate ability to oversee proper medication administration in the home setting by peripheral and IV pump administration thorough educating staff.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program required. Bachelor degree preferred.
Work Experience:
One year of clinical experience in home health preferred and one year of management experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Licensed RN able to practice within the State of MS
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance required.
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below
- Basic Life Support
