Job Summary

The Director leads the workflows that integrate value-based performance criteria and collaborates with patients, families, providers, other care givers, revenue cycle and regulatory compliance leaders to create a care managed structure. The Director may have patient assignments and coordinates other Directors and Managers in Clinic activities that improve quality, promotes safe clinical care, guides appropriate use of resources, and enhances patient/family’s experience. This position directs data collection and analysis to measure outcome targets while coordinating daily department operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish standardized consistent processes
  • Responsible for the work performance of Managers
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders on workflow changes that supports quality measure compliance
  • Supports continual knowledge development of UR, coding, quality metrics, and payment models
  • Collaborate with physician leaders to integrate quality, customer satisfaction and efficiency within physician workflow
  • Coordinates daily departmental functions and operations
  • Implements secure and confidential access to protected health information
  • Collaborates with management council, nursing division and case management forum
  • Completes educational assignments timely and holds staff accountable for the same
  • Coordinates effective transition of inpatients to post discharge care providers
  • Understands regulatory standards and responsible for compliance within the department
  • Establishes expected demonstration of compassionate and caring when approaching patients and families
  • Establishes collaborative working relationships among the team
  • Participates in Quality Council, Nursing Division and SCRMC Management Council
  • Accountable for the established outcomes metrics of the department
  • Demonstrates all professional responsibilities and core duties of the Clinic Manager
  • Approves hires, evaluations, recognition, disciplinary, terminations
  • Approves payroll and staff scheduling
  • Submits annual budgets, capital request, suggest cost control measures
  • Recognizes safety risk and risk of hospital acquired conditions and leads plan for risk mitigation
  • Coordinates department’s performance improvement activities
  • Demonstrates competency in performance of relevant clinical skills
