Responsibilities - The duties and responsibilities of the Orders Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
A. Coordinating Orders
1. Provide paperwork for lab & radiology orders/instructions for testing a. Fax Radiology orders to TRHMC Radiology Department, with I STAT Creatinine (if needed) written on order
2. Sending referrals to outside offices, finding where they can go per insurance
3. Answer all questions received from patients on upcoming procedures/visits
4. Document all appointments scheduled in patients electronic (chart attachment) or in paper chart
5. Request precertification/referrals as needed for studies that are ordered
6. Send and follow through with anti-coagulation letters.
B. Complete paperwork for procedures and forward to the appropriate location (BCDH, SR, GI Lab)
C. Schedule procedures/tests received from doctors in other offices, such as, EUS, Capsule
Endoscopy, Bravo. Back up for EUS and Barrx
D. Handle all doctor’s orders that are sent in EMR and also orders that are required after a patient has a procedure,
E. Other duties as assigned

Education – Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, MA certificate is a plus
Experience - Familiarity with windows-based computer programs
Skills - Good Communication skills – Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of Basic medical insurance plans, CPT and ICD-10 codes
