Responsibilities

• Assesses and charts observations of patient’s condition for each visit
• Clinical duties, such as, changing bandages, tube feedings, shots and monitoring IV’s
• Reviews medications and vital signs
• Administers physician-prescribed medications
• Dresses or redresses wounds and assesses healing progress
• Educates patients and family members on proper home health care procedures and strategies
• Coordinates with physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists in patient care plan

Requirements

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing
• Registration as Registered Nurse
• Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
• Ability to think and act swiftly during emergency situations
• Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of different living conditions and with diverse groups
