Casual Driver at Metro Community Health Center – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Driver is responsible for driving the 32’ food truck or produce truck to and from service destinations and special events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Drive the 32' food truck and / or produce truck to service destinations and special events.
• Assist during events as needed.
• Transporting staff to events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Obtain patients signature on specific forms.
• Cooperate and coordinate with other staff to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Meet expectations for customer satisfaction and anticipates customer needs.
• Deliver supplies, and equipment in timely, safe and accountable manner.
• Promote Metro’s culture by providing quality, comprehensive services to all customers through a team approach.
• Complete daily log in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing packing lists/delivery tickets.
• Accept assignments willingly.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Maintain assigned vehicle in a clean and orderly condition; inform Manager of mechanical problems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a delivery truck, food truck or commercial vehicle.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D Required.

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent driving skills.
• The ability to work well with a team or independently.
• Provide a safe experience for individuals experiencing hunger, addiction and/or health concerns by treating them with dignity, empathy and respect.
