Job Description
This internship will engage in experiential learning through participation in select research activities for Parkview Health. Responsibilities include completing research project tasks as assigned by a member of the Health Services and Informatics Research team. The intern will apply academic knowledge to practical settings, contribute to ongoing projects, and collaborate with team members to ensure the rigorous and ethical execution of research activities.
Specific projects will be determined closer to the start of the internship in spring to align with the team’s research priorities and ongoing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, solid attention to detail, and an ability to follow research protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective communication, and a willingness to work both independently and collaboratively are also important. An interest in health services, informatics, or related research is preferred.
The internship will be full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. A specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above. Submission of Cover Letter, Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
