Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

The Logistics & Technical Operations role is responsible for ensuring hardware, resources, and technicians are ready to support new store deployments and ongoing maintenance.

This hands-on position combines hardware inventory and logistics, depot configuration and troubleshooting, and field technician coordination. The role works closely with the Senior Account Manager and Technical Lead to ensure equipment is properly configured, complete, and delivered on time.

Success in this role requires strong organization, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. HARDWARE SUPPLY CHAIN AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT (primary function)

- Own hardware inventory for the Primark account end to end, including equipment orders, store kits, bills of materials (BOMs), maintenance stock, and spares. - Maintain inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, cycle counts, and reconciliation; investigate and resolve discrepancies at the source. - Forecast and stage material requirements against the store launch calendar so hardware is complete and on site ahead of need. - Own and track hardware RMA processes end to end, ensuring timely replacement and minimal downtime. - Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with vendors, carriers, and the depot to hit committed delivery dates. - Ensure contracted logistics deliverables are executed accurately and consistently.

2. DEPOT CONFIGURATION AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

- Support depot configuration, staging, and kitting processes for Primark hardware, including POS systems, payment devices (PEDs), network switches, and peripherals. - Execute configuration and staging work to the standards defined by the Technical Lead, and help maintain and update those documented processes as hardware, images, or store standards change. - Perform first-line troubleshooting of hardware and connectivity issues, resolving what falls within defined scope and escalating the rest per established thresholds. - Serve as the translation layer between field technicians and technical teams: gather the right diagnostic detail, structure the issue, and drive it to an actionable next step. - Identify recurring failure patterns and feed them back into configuration process improvements and spares planning.

3. FIELD SERVICES COORDINATION

- Partner with Field Services to schedule and assign technicians for new store deployments, cabling and infrastructure work, and hardware installation and support. - Align technician assignments to skillset, scope, and timing; flag capability or capacity gaps early enough to be solved. - Hold a defined daily coordination window so field teams have a reliable point of contact, and maintain a named backup for coverage during depot or travel time. - Monitor field activity for scope adherence and completion quality, escalating deviations to the Senior Account Manager and Technical Lead. - Support triage and coordination of maintenance calls as needed, and support SLA tracking and operational reporting in partnership with account leadership.

4. DOCUMENTATION AND PROGRAM SUPPORT

- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation covering inventory, configuration builds, installations, and field activity across all systems and shared tools. - Act as a secondary support resource to the Senior Account Manager and Technical Lead on logistics, coordination, and execution tasks. - Identify and drive improvements to operational workflows and processes.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE

- 100% on-time hardware readiness against new store launch dates. - Inventory accuracy at or above 98%, with discrepancies root-caused rather than written off. - No launch or maintenance delays attributable to technician scheduling or resource misalignment. - Configuration and staging processes documented, current, and consistently followed. - A growing share of hardware and connectivity issues resolved at first line before escalation. - Documentation audit-ready at any time, without a scramble.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- On site in Camp Hill, PA, with regular time in the depot / configuration area. - Travel up to 15% to support store launches, site walkthroughs, and field activities. - Occasional work outside standard hours around store launch windows and cutover events.
