About the Role:

The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential apartment communities. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections to uphold property standards. The technician works closely with property management to address tenant concerns promptly and efficiently, contributing to tenant satisfaction and retention. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalate, thereby minimizing downtime and costly repairs. Ultimately, the Apartment Maintenance Technician helps create a comfortable and well-maintained living environment that supports the overall success of the property. SPEED IS CRITICAL

$2,500 sign on bonus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field, preferably in residential property maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or appliance repair.
  • Experience working in apartment or multi-family residential communities.
  • Familiarity with property management software and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and structural components within apartment units and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations to ensure tenant safety and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of apartments and community facilities to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task to support property management and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale maintenance projects as needed.
