About Nevada Pic A Part:
Nevada Pic A Part is more than just a salvage yard – it’s a dynamic automotive recycling facility where automotive enthusiasts, DIY mechanics, and car lovers come together to find quality used parts at unbeatable prices. With thousands of vehicles in stock and a constantly rotating inventory, every day offers something new and exciting, whether it’s hunting for an essential auto part or bringing a project car to life. We strive to be safe, clean, and helpful while providing excellent customer service, so come visit us today!
The Builder Program offers customers complete used vehicles directly from Nevada Pic A Part — cars we sell whole instead of parting out, for customers looking for affordable transportation, a project vehicle, or something they can repair themselves.
Role Summary:
The Builder Processing Support team member gets Builder vehicles ready to sell. A Builder can only sell if it is clean, photographed, tagged, and where the sales team expects it to be, and this seat owns that preparation. You'll detail each Builder inside and out, photograph it, tag its key, help move it safely, and keep your manager and the Builder Sales Specialist up to date every day. When Builder prep is caught up, you'll support the processing area with de-pollution and vehicle clean-out work. Success means every Builder is ready before anyone has to ask: "It's clean, it's photographed, and the key is with the car."
This is a full-time, on-site, hourly role at Lamb or Henderson, and the Production Manager sets the schedule. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks, for forty paid hours a week. The work is outdoors and physically demanding. Overtime isn't approved as a matter of course; when it's genuinely needed, the Production Manager approves it in advance. The Company also runs several major sale events a year, including Black Friday and Memorial Day. They're our busiest days, the schedule is published in advance, and the whole team is required on-site.
Benefits:
Paid time off
Paid holidays
Group health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with a Company match
Opportunities to learn, grow, and take on more — we prefer to develop our own people
Benefit eligibility is subject to each plan's terms.
Compensation:
$14–$15 per hour. Approved overtime and major sale-day hours are paid at the legal rate.
Nevada Pic A Part is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements:Qualifications:
Punctual, reliable, and professional, with a safety-first mindset
Comfortable doing physically demanding work in a labor-intensive, outdoor environment
Able to use hand tools, cleaning equipment, and processing tools safely and properly
A strong eye for detail: you know the difference between "cleaned" and "ready to show a customer"
Able to take clear, well-lit vehicle photos and use company technology to scan inventory and track work
Follows safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as written
Communicates clearly, flags problems early, and works well on a team
Basic knowledge of auto parts and vehicle systems preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Detail every Builder vehicle inside and out to the Builder presentation standard, so it's ready to show the moment a customer walks up.
Photograph each Builder vehicle as soon as it's clean, with clear, complete, well-lit photos that show the vehicle as it really is, so it can be listed quickly.
Create an accurate key tag for every Builder vehicle and keep the right key with the right vehicle.
Keep Builder prep moving so no vehicle sits waiting on cleaning, photos, or a tag.
Coordinate with the Production Manager and the sales team on moving Builder vehicles into, around, and out of the showing area, following yard safety rules on every move.
Give the Production Manager a progress update every working day (what was prepped, what's in progress, and anything holding a vehicle up) and keep the Builder Sales Specialist informed.
Report any damage, missing key, or condition issue found during prep the same day, so customers are never told something we haven't checked.
Remove fluids, batteries, catalytic converters, and premium wheel/tire sets safely when assigned, following the de-pollution SOPs, and clean out vehicles for customer access.
Scan inventory and track completed work accurately as the work is done, and help teammates in the processing area with other labor-related tasks as assigned.
Follow every safety guideline, wear required PPE on the yard, report tool, inventory, or safety issues right away, and keep tools, supplies, and the work area clean and organized.
