About This Position
**Although there is a salary range for this position, salary will be negotiated depending on experience.**
This recruitment will be used to establish an open competitive and promotional eligibility list that may be used to fill this vacancy and vacancies occurring in this classification for a minimum period of six (6) months. Manages and supervises the RTC's contracted Fixed Route Transit Services.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Working Conditions: May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education and Work Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Planning, or a closely related field and five (5) years of professional administrative, budgetary, operational or similar experience in a transit environment, four (4) years of which were in a supervisory role, preferably in the last twenty-four (24) months.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license at the time of application.
Background Investigation: Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission in this position is contingent upon the results of a comprehensive background investigation, including qualifying education/experience verification, social security trace, criminal history records review, and driving history records check.

Physical ability to perform office and related work, including operating computers and office machinery; stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 25 pounds; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Accommodations may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodations.
Manages, supervises, and coordinates the work of assigned staff including quality assurance staff; performs performance evaluations, develops staff, engages in employee relations. Administers service provider contracts and monitors service quality to ensure contractor compliance with contract provisions. Coordinates the Request for Proposal process for solicitation and selection of fixed route service provider(s). Oversees the assessment of liquidated damages and prepares communications directing corrective action. Oversees safety responsibilities for areas assigned and ensures that direct reports are trained on safety procedures, fully compliant with procedures, and held accountable for breaches in safety and security protocol. Manages data collection and reporting related to fixed route operations and recommends service enhancements. Represents the RTC in meetings with community groups, media or individuals; answers queries and provides information/assistance as required. Supports RTC management in planning efforts as required. Manages analytical and research projects related to fixed route delivery service. Operates a variety of office equipment, to include computers and associated software. Other duties as assigned.
