JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Development is responsible for managing and executing Calvary’s individual giving fundraising efforts and special events program in partnership with the Chief Development Officer (CDO). This role oversees annual appeals and donor engagement c
ampaigns, while focusing on donor cultivation and stewardship, fundraising events, sponsorship outreach, donor engagement activities, and supporting major donor cultivation efforts.
Reporting to the CDO, the Senior Manager plays a key role in growing individual donor revenue, strengthening donor relationships, supporting fundraising events, and ensuring fundraising activities are executed effectively and consistently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Fundraising & Individual Giving
- Manage and execute Calvary’s individual giving efforts, including annual appeals, donor engagement campaigns, stewardship activities, and fundraising outreach
- Manage a portfolio of individual and mid-level donors, including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up
- Support donor retention and re-engagement efforts through personalized outreach and relationship building
- Partner with the CDO to support cultivation and stewardship of major donors, including donor meetings, follow-up, and engagement planning
- Support moves management and donor tracking to strengthen long-term donor relationships
- Work closely with the Communications team to support donor-facing messaging, fundraising appeals, stewardship communications, and campaign materials
- Monitor fundraising activity and donor engagement progress toward revenue goals
Donor Stewardship & Major Gifts
- Conduct donor outreach through phone calls, email, meetings, and personalized follow-up to support engagement and stewardship efforts
- Coordinate donor meetings, tours, stewardship activities, and follow-up communications
- Maintain donor records, engagement tracking, and stewardship plans within the donor database
- Support annual appeals, online fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement activities
- Help ensure donors receive timely, meaningful communication and stewardship throughout the year
Corporate Partnerships
- Support sponsorship outreach and stewardship for fundraising events and engagement opportunities
- Assist with corporate donor communications and sponsorship fulfillment
- Help maintain relationships with event sponsors and community partners
Special Events
- Lead coordination and execution of fundraising events, including the Hope Gala, Community Walk, donor engagement events, and stewardship activities
- Manage event timelines, logistics, sponsorship fulfillment, auction coordination, and vendor communication
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and consultants to support successful event execution
- Support volunteer engagement and donor stewardship connected to fundraising events
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate donor and fundraising records within the CRM database
- Track donor engagement, event participation, and fundraising activity
- Assist with donor reports, fundraising updates, and campaign tracking for the CDO
Team Collaboration & Representation
- Collaborate closely with Development, Communications, and Program staff to support fundraising activities, donor engagement, and special events
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, volunteers, and event partners to support fundraising initiatives and event execution
- Help ensure fundraising projects, donor follow-up, and event activities move forward in a timely and organized manner
- Participate in donor tours, outreach activities, and fundraising events as needed
- Represent Calvary Women’s Services at community, donor, and engagement events
- Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners
- 3–5 years of fundraising, development, or donor engagement experience
- Experience with individual giving, donor stewardship, fundraising events, and appeals
- Strong communication, writing, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Experience with donor databases and fundraising systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with donor outreach, meetings, and relationship management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Reliable transportation required for local travel, donor meetings, events, and site visits
- Ability to lift and carry event materials up to 30 pounds as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout events and community activities for extended periods

This is a full-time hybrid position, with a minimum of 3 days per week spent in Calvary's offices.
