Description
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Check the product for seal strength, size, scoring, lip, print quality/location, and others specified on the job specification, no less than four times an hour, and every roll change.
- Make minor machine adjustments, such as resetting the eye, putting flip back in, raising and cleaning the seal bar, and clearing jams from the machine.
- Makeup cartons as needed.
- Observe rolls for splices and changes.
- Record accurate production records, including count, downtime, scrap, number of rolls run, and complete dockets.
- Maintain a clean and neat workstation at all times, following American Institute of Baking requirements.
- Perform other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Retain and label samples as required.
- Pack product neatly and label appropriately.
- Make headers and/or saddle seals on the product.
- Observe Company work rules and safety regulations.
- Operate punch press.
- Apply inspection stamp to all cartons of product.
- Move packed boxes (10-40 lbs.) to pallets.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports.
- Must be able to read customer specification sheets to verify and ensure the quality of the product.
- Adequate for legible and accurate recording of production reports and other pertinent information.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a short distance.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, walk, have full dexterity, and have a correctable vision.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold weather.
- Must be able to handle loud noises.
- Be able to pass color blindness test.
- Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours
