Job Description

Description:

· Coordinate international shipments via air, ocean, truck, and parcel (UPS, FedEx, DHL).

· Plan and manage end-to-end shipment lifecycle from pickup through final delivery.

· Prepare and validate shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

· File Electronic Export Information (EEI) in AES when required.

· Apply correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) to incoming shipments.

· Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs (CBP), EAR, and international trade regulations.

· Utilize Incoterms 2020 to define shipment responsibilities, cost, and risk.

· Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, customs holds, or carrier issues.

· Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.

· Review freight and duty invoices for accuracy and support cost analysis initiatives.

· Maintain accurate shipment data in ERP, TMS, and carrier systems.

· Communicate shipment status and requirements to internal stakeholders and customers.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics processes.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):

· 5+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or export operations.

· Strong understanding of customs compliance, documentation, and tariff classification.

· Experience with parcel shipping systems (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).

· High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

· Knowledge of export regulations including EAR and/or ITAR.

· Familiarity with ERP or TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, ABAS, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

· Certification in customs or export compliance (e.g., CUSECO, Licensed Customs Broker)

· Experience coordinating international freight across multiple regions.
