Lead a High-Growth, CARF-Accredited Behavioral Health ProgramAdvocate Support Services, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Program Director to lead our Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP-A).
This is not an administrative placeholder role.
This is a leadership opportunity for a behavioral health professional who is passionate about helping adults with serious mental illness achieve greater independence, stability, recovery, and community integration—and who has the operational discipline to build systems, develop people, and drive results.
Advocate is a Maryland-licensed, COMAR-regulated, Medicaid-funded, and CARF-accredited provider serving adults throughout Central Maryland through a 100% community-based/mobile service model. What You'll DoAs Program Director, you will provide operational and clinical leadership for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program and serve as a key member of the organization's leadership team.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day PRP operations
- Supervising Rehabilitation Specialists and key program personnel
- Developing and supporting high-performing teams
- Ensuring compliance with COMAR, Medicaid, HIPAA, and CARF standards
- Strengthening documentation quality and service consistency
- Monitoring KPIs, census, admissions, discharges, authorizations, productivity, and client engagement
- Driving quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting staff training, coaching, and accountability
- Building systems that create excellent client and referral-partner experiences
- Collaborating closely with Executive Leadership on strategic growth initiatives

- Have substantial leadership experience in behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, community mental health, or related human services programs
- Understand how to balance mission, compliance, quality, and operational performance
- Have successfully supervised multidisciplinary teams
- Are highly organized and thrive in accountability-driven environments
- Have experience with Medicaid-funded services and regulatory oversight
- Use data and KPIs to improve performance
- Are comfortable addressing difficult operational challenges directly
- Enjoy mentoring and developing staff
- Believe recovery for individuals with serious mental illness is both possible and expected

- Experience with EHR systems and Microsoft 365 tools
