About the Role

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Locked Core Tech, you will be a vital member of our Enterprise Tele-Behavioral Health Clinical Services team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA). In this remote position, you will provide evidence-based virtual behavioral health services to military personnel, focusing on low- to moderate-acuity patients experiencing acute mental health conditions. You will work within the Military Health System behavioral health model while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do
  • Provide evidence-based virtual individual and group counseling for patients experiencing acute mental health conditions.
  • Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans designed to restore and rehabilitate patients with personal, emotional, and mental health concerns.
  • Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and other clinical resources to assess symptoms, establish diagnoses, and develop therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Exercise independent clinical judgment within the scope of licensure while supporting the behavioral health service line in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including clinical case formulation and presentation.
  • Educate patients regarding TRICARE benefits and behavioral health services available to them.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation within the electronic medical record in accordance with contract requirements and applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Recommend hospitalization, when clinically appropriate, and evaluate service members' fitness for duty.
  • Complete Active Duty Profiles, Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations, Mental Status Evaluations (MSE), command consultations, and other required military behavioral health documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, staff meetings, continuing education activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Update patient records within 72 business hours following appointments. Documentation for high-visibility or higher-acuity patients must be completed by the close of business on the day of service.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures regarding duty limitations, weapons access assessments, and other patient safety requirements as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, DHA, DoD, and organizational security requirements.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Current, active, unrestricted Clinical Social Work license issued by a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or other U.S. jurisdiction, allowing independent clinical practice.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience providing behavioral health services through virtual platforms. Candidates with less experience may be considered based on qualifications.
  • Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations.
  • Experience developing and implementing behavioral health treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
  • Experience completing Active Duty Profiles and Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations.
  • Experience conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and military behavioral health documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.
  • Ability to successfully meet all contract, credentialing, background investigation, and security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing virtual behavioral health services within the Military Health System (MHS) or Department of Defense.
  • Prior experience supporting active-duty military populations.
  • Experience with DHA clinical documentation systems and military behavioral health workflows.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing computer-based work.
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, webcam, and other office equipment for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through video conferencing, telephone, and written correspondence.
  • Ability to read computer screens, review electronic medical records, and prepare detailed documentation.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements required for keyboarding and documentation.
  • Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to maintain a secure, private workspace that complies with HIPAA, Department of Defense, and company security requirements.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position that may be performed anywhere within the United States following required training, subject to contract requirements. Employees must maintain reliable high-speed internet connectivity and a secure home office that meets organizational and Department of Defense security standards. Travel may be required for initial onboarding, training, or periodic meetings, as required by the contract.
