Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Rockford, Illinois at Kaney Aerospace LLC

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to oversee all aspects of our shipping and receiving operations. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency.

Major Responsibilities:

• Day-to-Day activities of receiving and shipping products and goods associated with manufacturing.
• Maintains accurate records of goods and products received.
• Records receiving quantities into ERP system. Responsible for discrepancies of quantity received.
• Packages finished and semi-finished products for shipment to assure part quality and adheres to customer expectations associated with quality and delivery performances.
• Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
• Adheres to company quality policies and procedures.
• Works with trucking companies and their personnel on shipping products.
• Responsible to forward material certifications to proper personnel.
• Facilitate the internal delivery of all customer return and warranty products
• Proactively communicates foreseeable issues to next level buyer or customer service department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2 years of related experience and/or training

Minimum Competencies:

• Able to lift 40 lbs on a continual basis.
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
• Accurate record keeping abilities.

Preferred Competencies:

• Training in lean tools and techniques.
• Kanban Experience
