General Description of Duties

Help make Albuquerque easier to navigate and more welcoming for everyone. In this temporary role, you’ll visit local businesses and public spaces, assess accessibility features, and provide valuable feedback that supports a more inclusive community.
General Description of Duties
- Coordinate with program director to determine potential Albuquerque sites for inclusion
- in an accessibility directory.
- Visit designated Albuquerque-area sites (including restaurants, retail locations, cultural
- venues, and public facilities).
- Assess site accessibility features such as entrances, parking, restrooms, seating,
- signage, and overall ease of navigation using a predetermined set of criteria.
- Document findings in a standardized assessment form, noting both strengths and areas
- for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to enhance accessibility based on real-world experience.
- Collaborate with project staff to ensure information is clear, accurate, and usable.
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines for completing site visits and reports.
- Offer testimonials including photos for inclusion.
- Acts as a representative of Adelante and Destination Accessibility
Schedule & Pay:
Job type: Temp | Hours may vary up to 40 hours total.
Pay: $21.00 per hour.
Requirements:• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Communicate effectively in English to internal and external audiences.
• Travel to various Albuquerque-area locations.
Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must have effective verbal communication and writing skills.
