Full-Time | Nashua, NH (Hybrid/Remote opportunity available)

Greater Nashua Mental Health is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to support revenue cycle operations by ensuring accurate and timely billing for client services. This role works closely with internal teams and external payers to resolve billing issues, ensure compliance, and maximize reimbursement while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims using appropriate billing codes.

· Monitor and resolve rejected or denied claims and follow up with insurance companies.

· Collaborate with Client Benefits and internal teams to resolve eligibility and billing issues.

· Maintain accurate billing records in compliance with policies and standards.

· Respond to patient and insurance inquiries regarding billing and account balances.

· Review remittances and ensure timely resubmission of claims.

· Assist with payment posting and account reconciliation.

· Support audits and reporting with billing documentation.

· Stay current on billing regulations, insurance policies, and payer requirements.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

· 2–3 years of medical billing or relevant experience.

· Knowledge of medical billing procedures and claims processing.

· Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

· Understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and payer requirements.

· Experience with EHR and billing systems.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
