This role sits at the intersection of Command & Control operations, cybersecurity, and assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems support for mission-critical government programs. It focuses on analyzing complex defense systems, identifying capability gaps, and strengthening cyber resilience across navigation and GPS-based technologies. The role blends research, systems analysis, and cybersecurity evaluation with hands-on contributions to engineering and acquisition processes. It also plays a key part in developing technical documentation, supporting decision-making, and enabling roadmap development for next-generation assured PNT capabilities. This is a fully remote position with occasional travel for government collaboration and technical engagements.

Accountabilities

Support C2 operations and cybersecurity initiatives for assured PNT systems by conducting research, technical analysis, and system assessments that inform defense capability development and operational decisions.

  • Conduct data gathering and fact-finding on assured PNT initiatives, including DoD, USAF, and AFLCMC directives and requirements.
  • Analyze current PNT capabilities to identify performance gaps, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Support systems engineering activities and contribute to requirements development and documentation.
  • Assist in the evaluation and development of assured PNT strategies, initiatives, and investment priorities.
  • Participate in navigation systems support, including GPS/GNSS database reviews, integrity monitoring, and data chain analysis.
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments, including vulnerability identification and cyber resiliency support for PNT systems.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including reports, briefings, meeting notes, and analysis artifacts.
  • Support coordination across stakeholders and assist in maintaining structured analysis and documentation repositories.
Requirements

This role requires strong experience in cybersecurity or C2 operations within a defense or government-adjacent environment, along with solid analytical and technical documentation capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in C2 operations and/or cybersecurity roles supporting technical or defense programs.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, directives, and acquisition processes.
  • Knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems and assured PNT concepts strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting systems analysis, vulnerability assessment, or cyber resiliency initiatives.
  • Strong research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities, including reports and briefings.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, mission-driven environment with minimal supervision.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and clearance level
  • Fully remote work with occasional travel for government engagement
  • Opportunity to support high-impact national defense and assured PNT initiatives
  • Exposure to advanced cybersecurity, navigation, and C2 systems
  • Career development within complex defense and government programs
  • Collaborative, mission-focused environment with technical expertise at its core
  • Flexible structure supporting independent, analytical work
