You will help design and deliver AI-driven systems that modernize traditionally manual, high-complexity laboratory processes. The position plays a key role in bridging clinical experts and engineering teams, translating real-world diagnostic needs into scalable digital solutions. Your work will directly contribute to reducing turnaround times, improving diagnostic consistency, and increasing operational efficiency in high-throughput environments. You will operate within a mission-driven setting where technology is applied to improve patient outcomes and clinical precision. The role also involves shaping internal AI tools and workflow platforms that support next-generation digital pathology capabilities. This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional position combining product thinking, systems analysis, and healthcare domain expertise.
In this role, you will define and optimize AI-enabled clinical and operational systems that support digital pathology workflows, working closely with medical experts and engineering teams to translate clinical needs into scalable digital solutions.
- Define and evolve internal generative AI and digital pathology workflow systems, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational goals
- Partner with pathologists, medical directors, and innovation teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and automation opportunities
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into detailed user stories, technical specifications, and prioritized engineering backlogs
- Lead the design and rollout of AI-assisted tools such as case triage, reporting support, and quality control automation
- Collaborate with QA, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure systems meet CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and related standards
- Define and track product KPIs such as turnaround time reduction, adoption rates, and diagnostic accuracy improvements
- Support continuous improvement of AI-powered workflows through data-driven insights and user feedback loops
This role requires strong experience in healthcare technology, product or systems analysis, and AI-enabled workflow design, particularly in regulated clinical environments such as digital pathology or laboratory systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in product management or business systems analysis within healthcare or life sciences technology
- Experience with digital pathology (IMS/WSI), radiology systems (PACS/RIS), or laboratory information systems (LIMS)
- Strong understanding of AI/ML-driven workflow design, including human-in-the-loop systems
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks including CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA
- Ability to translate complex clinical workflows into structured system and product requirements
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to define KPIs and guide decision-making
- Clinical empathy and understanding of high-pressure diagnostic environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
