You are applying to work with a franchisee of Scooter's Coffee. If hired, the franchisee will be your only employer. Franchisees are independent business owners who set own terms of employment, including wage and benefit programs, which can vary between franchisees.

As a Shift Lead in Training, you'll work alongside our management team to develop the skills and knowledge needed to successfully lead a shift. This position is designed for someone who takes initiative, works well with others, and is ready to be a positive example for the team.

As a Shift Lead in Training, you will:

• Previous barista experience is required
• Must have availability on both Saturday and Sunday
• Lead by example through a positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic
• Build and demonstrate strong knowledge of our products, procedures, and daily operations
• Support, coach, and encourage team members
• Help address customer concerns in a professional and positive manner
• Communicate effectively with both management and team members
• Help maintain store standards, cleanliness, and organization
• Learn and take on shift leadership responsibilities
• Use initiative and sound judgment when making decisions
• Help create a positive, welcoming environment for both customers and coworkers
• Demonstrate dependability, accountability, and consistency

The Shift Lead in Training program is designed to provide you with the support and feedback needed to develop your leadership skills.

You will complete a self-evaluation and manager evaluation at the following points:

• Day 1: Initial Self-Evaluation & Manager Evaluation
• 30 Days: Self-Evaluation & Manager Evaluation
• 60 Days: Self-Evaluation & Final Manager Evaluation

These evaluations are designed to track your progress, identify areas for improvement, and make sure you feel confident in your leadership responsibilities.

Successful completion of the 60-day evaluation will result in promotion to Shift Lead.
