About the role
Lockstep is seeking a MyChart Activation Specialist to support Children's Health in Plano, TX. In this patient-facing role, you'll be the friendly face helping parents and caregivers connect to their child's health information quickly, securely, and confidently through the MyChart patient portal. You'll guide families through enrollment, app downloads, and portal navigation, ensuring they can easily access important healthcare information and resources while feeling supported every step of the way. This position is ideal for a compassionate, customer-focused individual who enjoys helping others and is comfortable engaging with patients and families in a healthcare environment.
Help families access the care they need - right from their phones!
What You’ll Do
- Greet and approach patient families in waiting areas or clinic spaces
- Assist with MyChart account sign-up and secure access verification
- Help families download and navigate the MyChart app
- Answer questions and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and Children’s Health IT policies
- Work independently while maintaining professionalism at all times
What We're Looking For
- Compassion and Kindness
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Customer service experience (healthcare background preferred)
- Comfort using smartphones, apps, and Microsoft Office tools
What To Expect
- Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required to assist both English and Spanish-speaking families
- Standing and walking for most of your shift
- Part-Time schedule
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed (weekdays, weeknights, weekends)
